JC Propeller Design With this program you can build your own propellers and save money, and at the same time get a propeller that is specially computer designed for you.

  • Objective was met by creating a computer program to design a propeller that meets user- defined aircraft performance requirements within the limitations of the motor, material, and manufacturing methods.
  • The second author wrote a program for the described method and designed a propeller for the following case: Engine: 64.30 kW at 3000 rpm (takeoff and climb) 48.53 kW at 2700 rpm (cruise) The diameter R = 1.6 m was selected, and the cruise condition V = 200 km/h was used for the design of the propeller.
  • Propeller.There were limitations to flag sizes and wind speeds in this program. Recognizing the limitations of the laboratory test program, NAAMM initiated a program of actual flight testing of flags in sizes ranging from 5 ft x 8 ft (1.5 m x 2.4 m) through 20 ft x 30 ft (6.1 m x 9.1 m) and at air speeds from 60 mph (27 m/s) up to 110 mph (49 m/s).
