Some has suggested reinstalling directx from within the gta folder (CommonRedist), thats what I did, and so far, it seems to be working for me at least. Just find that DX setup in that folder and see if that solves your problem. Another possible fix for this problem is deleting the d3dcompiler46.dll and d3dcsx46.dll and re download those files. Removing the d3d DLL files in the GTA V folder is interesting, because this is an official 'workaround' that Rockstar themselves give you if you contact them about this issue. The two d3d DLL files are HLSL compilers that handle shaders, and so it is reasonable to assume that the ERRGFXD3DINIT crash might be related to shaders. I posted this on the GTA 5 PC support reddit, but posting here just in case some people haven't seen it there. After the 1.5.2015 update i am unable to delete the files w/o re-downloading them, idk if they changed something or what, but1 thing is for sure, they just removed an actual fix.
